VR + AR Tools To Save You Money, Time & Trouble

Why make an unnecessary trip to the store, if you can accomplish the same thing at home? Why walk to a museum in the rain, when you can take a virtual tour? Ill and can't travel? Visit places virtually. With the advent of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), many things that used to require you "to be there" can now occur from the comfort of one's home.

VR and AR Technology make a bridge for the sick and shut-in, the differently-abled, the harried lacking time, the financially strapped, or the curious cat to name a few. It goes without saying that it's often better to be there in person --- some things have to be experienced firsthand to glean the full impact --- but when pressed for time or unable to do something yourself, the virtual world can often be the next best thing.

At other times, the virtual world should be your first choice. Do you really want to dye your hair 10 times before finding the right shade? Didn't think so. Whether VR and/or AR function as a mere stand-in until one can achieve the actual thing, or whether the technology will entirely suffice for the real thing will depend... on the thing and the person involved. The beauty is in having the option.
